An update to my earlier email.  Engineering was able to perform a temporary repair so at this time the EMS door is functioning properly.  The plan is to still replace the doors, which should happen within the next two weeks.  Please notify crews that they can enter/exit the ED as usual, but that if issues arise they should revert to the instructions in my earlier email.

The MMC EMS Entrance is temporarily closed due to an issue with the outside door.  I have been told that parts have been ordered, and the closure could last up to two weeks.  Please access the ED via the double doors located directly to the right of the EMS entrance.  Once inside the hallway there are a set of double doors on the left that will bring you directly into the back of the ED.  Patients can then be wheeled to the charge nurse/secretary desk for registration.  There are key pads at both entrances.  The code for BOTH keypads is the same as the code at the existing EMS entrance. 

The direct number for the ED is 757-398-2427 if crews have any access issues.
