The Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) in partnership with the National Weather Service are promoting Severe Weather Awareness Week across the state of Virginia to raise awareness for the importance of preparedness and planning for severe weather threats that are common across the Commonwealth. With this said, the Eastern Virginia Healthcare Coalition will be participating in this effort and will conduct a Virginia Healthcare Alerting & Status System (VHASS) communications exercise in conjunction with the Virginia Statewide Tornado Drill on Tuesday March 11, 2025, beginning at 0945 hours.
Please see the attached exercise SITMAN for further information and directions if your organization seeks to participate.
