Situation

Ø  Sentara hospitals are experiencing a backorder on the replacement c-collar given to our EMS partners.

Background

Ø  Sentara hospitals supply a replacement C-Collar to our EMS colleagues on a 1:1 exchange as defined by the TEMS restocking agreement.

 

A

 

Assessment

Ø  Sentara ED Commodities has informed all emergency departments that the replacement c-collar is on backorder.

Ø  We are researching alternatives.  One has not been identified or is also on backorder.

Ø  Sentara ED Commodities is looking for an alternat vendor to see their availability.

Recommendation
  • Please be aware that Sentara ED’s are running short on replacement c-collars as they are on backorder.
