About Us:
At a regional level, the Tidewater EMS Council was incorporated in 1974 as a non-profit organization for the purpose of developing and implementing an efficient and effective regional EMS delivery system. The council integrates and coordinates resources to ensure rapid response and expert patient care, as well as coordination between more than 60 local EMS agencies and 14 hospitals and disaster medical preparedness. Our mission is to reduce death and disability throughout our region by facilitating regional cooperation, planning and implementation of an integrated emergency medical services delivery system.

The Position:
The EMS Education Coordinator supervises council-sponsored EMS training and testing activities, supports the needs of the Education and Training Committee, and develops and implements related projects to achieve the objectives of the council.
