TRANSCAER First on Scene: Hazmat Risks and Response

From: "Region 7 / TEMS Listserv" <tidewater@PROTECTED>
Date: July 15th 2026

No one wants to think about all the potentially deadly scenes we could stumble into on the very next call.  Fortunately, we have been contacted by people who DO!

TEMS – in partnership with Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad, TRANSCAER, and Downrange Solutions – is happy to host this ‘do not miss ‘ training.

A light breakfast will be served!  CEU’s for EMS will be provided!

This isn’t just for EMS or Fire, this class is designed to reach out to Police, Sheriffs, Animal Control, MIH-CP, and any other individuals that may find themselves responding to a hazardous chemical site.

TRANSCAER First on Scene: Hazmat Risks and Response equips emergency responders with the knowledge and skills needed to safely identify hazardous materials incidents, assess risks, protect themselves and the public, and initiate an effective response. Through practical, real-world scenarios, participants will gain confidence in recognizing hazards, using available resources, and making critical decisions until specialized hazmat teams arrive. Ideal for EMS, fire, law enforcement, and other first responders.

If you came to our January QTEE, Mr. Adam Weiss will be teaching a more focused version of that class, if you missed the January Quarterly Training, then this is your chance to catch it!

We will be offering this class on two separate days, at two separate locations.  Scan to register for the class of your choice!
