Dear Chiefs and EMS Leaders,
As part of the transition to the newly designated Region 7 EMS Council, we continue to look for practical ways to simplify operations while maintaining stability and continuity for our agencies and providers. One early improvement we are pleased to share is the establishment of a single Region 7 mobile platform for EMS protocols and clinical reference materials. This solution allows us to streamline access across the region while improving functionality—at no cost to agencies or individual providers.
The Region 7 EMS Council is excited to announce the launch of OneDose, a new mobile application designed to ensure seamless access to our EMS protocols and relevant treatment information. In collaboration with OneDose, EMS providers across Region 7 are gaining access to tools that enhance protocol access, patient care, and operational efficiency.
What does this OneDose partnership offer?
Free access to OneDose Essentials, effectively replacing the current protocol apps.
What this means for agencies
This approach allows Region 7 to consolidate existing tools without disrupting current clinical practice, while ensuring that all agencies—large and small—have equal access to up-to-date information.
Importantly, this change is administrative and operational only. It does not alter approved protocols, scope of practice, medical direction, or local operational control. Agencies will receive onboarding information directly, along with optional training resources, to make the transition straightforward and provider friendly. Agencies may adopt the platform at their own pace, and Region 7 staff will be available to assist throughout the process.
Getting Started - January 14th
On January 14th, your agency will receive an initial email from the OneDose team with onboarding instructions to help the providers get set up with the app.
Training
There are resources and training opportunities on the onboarding page, including a short Learn video and future webinar opportunities.
We view this as a shared regional win—reducing duplication, improving reliability, and supporting providers in the field with better tools—while respecting the operational realities of our diverse region.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or feedback. We value your partnership and leadership as Region 7 moves forward together.
Very respectfully,
David C. Long
