Subject: Triage Safety Assessment (TSA): EMS Arrivals
Team,
Team members brought concerns forward highlighting vulnerabilities in our EMS arrival process specific to CWD utilization. As a result, effective 12/10/25, security will perform safety screenings based on our Triage Safety Assessment (TSA). The TSA process simply uses DASA, CTRS, and EMS communication to cue a screening prior to patients being placed within the department. Please review the following documents for more detailed explanations.
Thank you to Daryl, Bailey, and the security team in advance for your continued partnership as we enhance safety in the ED and across the campus!
[please forward as appropriate to your respective teams]
