Good morning,

The VDH Healthcare-Association Infections & Antimicrobial Resistance Program in VDH's Office of Epidemiology are sponsoring infection prevention education across the state. Some of these sessions were attended by EMS providers last year and they enjoyed the engagement. They have asked us to share with providers this year's training opportunities. I've attached the flyer and here is the write-up for the program:

The VDH HAI/AR Program's Infection Prevention Educator Roadshow is coming to a town near you this summer.  The Infection Prevention Educator Roadshow offers a free, one-day training session for healthcare workers in all practice settings who educate others on infection prevention, even if it is not their full-time job.

  • This training is focused on building your skills to educate healthcare workers on infection prevention and will be a hands on learning and doing day.

  • We have 8 sessions available now across Virginia in all regions and another with 2 will be added soon (2nd one in Eastern and a 2nd one in South West) as those training locations confirm, so check back if you want those sessions.

  • Share the Roadshow registration with someone that might like to build their IPC educator skills.

  • Note: This training is NOT your DICO training- But DICOs and other infection prevention educators are welcome 🙂
